The portfolio

A ledger,
not a list.

Most card apps tell you what a card is worth. None of them tell you what you made. PullBinder keeps the books: what you paid, what you hold, and the gains you've actually taken — the same accounting a broker would give you, for the cards in your binder.

One view, five real quantities — value, cost, unrealized, realized, and count. Illustrative figures; yours come entirely from your own transactions. Below is how each one is kept.

1

Cost basis, per card.

What you paid, and when. Enter it once as you add a card, or import a decade of receipts in a single file — including a PSA export. Every card carries its own purchase price and date, so the gain is measured from what you actually spent, not from zero.

Estimated value · today$196.00
2

Unrealized gains, marked daily.

Every card you hold is re-priced against the live market each night, so the gap between what you paid and what it's worth is always current. That's your unrealized P&L — the profit sitting in the binder that you haven't taken yet — shown per card and across the whole binder.

3

Realized P&L, done properly.

Sell a card and we close the lot — FIFO or average cost, your choice — the same way a brokerage would. A card you sold for $400 that cost you $90 is booked as a $310 gain, not quietly deleted from your total. Selling is an event with a number, and we keep it.

Sold · Umbreon · Evolving Skies$400.00
Cost basis · bought Jun 2023$90.00
Realized gain+$310.00
4

A history that never restarts.

We record a mark for every card, every night, with the method and the timestamp attached. Change your mind about how a price is computed and the whole history recomputes against the new method — it doesn't start over from today. Your track record stays intact.

5

Honest totals — never a silent zero.

When we can't price a card, we don't quietly value it at $0 and drag your total down. We exclude it and tell you how many we excluded, so the number you see is built only from cards we can actually stand behind. A card we can't price is not a card worth nothing.

Your ledger is yours.

Bring it in and take it out whenever you like. Import a CSV — including a PSA export — and we'll match every row to a card, flag the ones we're unsure about, and let you undo the whole batch if we got one wrong. Export it all back out the same way. Nothing here is locked in.

What we never do

  • Silently value a card we can't price at $0 and drop your total.
  • Treat a card you sold as a deletion instead of a realized gain.
  • Restart your history when we improve the pricing method.
  • Measure a gain from zero instead of what you actually paid.
  • Lock your data in. Import and export are both one file.

What you paid, what you hold,
and what you've made.
